Where is the studio located?

You can find us at 1210 1/2 S Walnut St, right next to the Indiana Pool and Spa. Client parking is available out front and in the dirt lot to the right of the building. Please do not park in adjacent business parking.

Do you take walk-ins?

At this time, Tattoo Gloriosum is appointment only. We do occasionally do walk-in days, which we announce on our Instagram page.

How much will my tattoo cost? What payment method should I use?

Each artist prices their work differently based on the size, placement, detail, and overall technical difficulty of the tattoo. However, our shop minimum is $80. Please reach out to your artist ahead of your appointment for an estimate of your cost. Similarly, each artist bills separately. Ask your artist what forms of payment they accept and prefer!

Should I tip?

Tattooing is a service industry, so it is recommended that you tip your artists if you are able. There is no industry standard for tips, but clients often tip anywhere from 15-25%. If you choose not to or are unable to tip, it will not affect your ability to book with us in the future! Tips are welcome and very appreciated, but not expected or required.

This is my first tattoo - is that okay?

Yes! All of our artists are experienced at working with first-time tattoo clients. Feel free to ask us any questions or be in touch about concerns up to and during your appointment. We will do everything we can to help you feel safe and comfortable.

Can I use numbing cream?

Please check with your artist before applying any kind of numbing product prior to your appointment. If you have serious concerns about your pain or ability to sit for a long period of time, let your artist know ahead of your appointment if possible and they will help you problem solve!

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please come to your appointment well-hydrated and well-rested, and be sure to eat a satisfying meal within 2 hours of getting tattooed. Please do not come to your appointment under the influence of any alcohol or drugs, including cannabis. We reserve the right to deny a tattoo to any clients under the influence of substances at the time of their appointment, and it is up to the artist’s discretion whether to reschedule.

Can I bring a friend?

Friends, family, and partners are welcome at your appointment. Please limit guests to 2 people maximum.

What else can I bring?

You are welcome to bring anything to your appointment that will help you stay comfortable and distracted. That includes laptops, iPads, portable game systems, blankets, pillows, stuffies, food and drinks, etc. Fidget toys are also fine, as long as they don’t involve you moving so much that your artist’s ability to tattoo is compromised.

I have melanated skin and/or a bigger body - can I still get tattooed?

YES. Our artists are fully prepared to work with clients whose bodies come in all sizes, shapes, needs, and colors. If you have any concerns at all about how your body may experience being tattooed, please be in touch with your artist ahead of your appointment. All of us are happy to provide free consultations to discuss your concerns even before you book and put down a deposit.

We strive to be a safe space for all bodies. If there’s something we can do to improve in meeting this goal, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

I have sensory needs - can I still get tattooed?

YES. We have a sensory-safe booth available, which includes doors that close, dark lighting options, earplugs, eye masks, etc. If you are concerned about how your sensory needs may affect your tattoo experience, let your artist know in advance of your appointment. We will do whatever is in our power to make your tattoo a safe and accessible experience.
